Abstract :Considering the rapid development of technology and the innovations it brings with it, it seems that it will continue to maintain its position in our lives for a long time. In this context, it is considered valuable to carry out studies to understand artificial intelligence addiction, which is one of the concepts that technology has brought to our lives. The aim of this study is to determine the artificial intelligence addiction levels of university students studying in different departments of Ordu University Faculty of Education and to investigate them according to various variables. The sample group of the study consists of 424 university students studying in different departments at Ordu University Faculty of Education in the Spring semester of the 2024-2025 academic year. In the study, the \\\"Artificial Intelligence Addiction Scale\\\", adapted to Turkish by Savaş (2024), was used to determine the artificial intelligence addiction levels of the students, and the \\\"Personal Information Form\\\" created by the researchers to obtain sociodemographic characteristics. According to research results, the AI addiction levels of university students do not differ significantly according to gender and whether there is sufficient information about the risks of artificial intelligence. However, artificial intelligence addiction levels of students differ significantly according to the usage frequency of artificial intelligence and the department. In line with the findings, the results were discussed and recommendations were offered.
