Abstract :Enterokok grubu bakteriler Streptococcus genusunun önemli bir grubunu oluştururlar. İnsan ve hayvanların barsak florasında bulunurlar ve D-serolojik grubuna dahildirler. Bu nedenle bu gruptaki bütün türler taksonomik olarak Enterococcus, serolojik olarak D-Streptokoklar ve ekolojik olarak fekal Streptokoklar ismi altında tanımlanmıştır.
