Abstract :FAO ve WHO tahminlerine göre günümüzde 560 milyon insan yeterli miktarda gıda bulamadığı için kötü beslenme durumundadır. Kalori ve protein eksikliğine bağlı malnütrisyon sorunu dünyada 200 milyondan fazla bebek ve çocuğun fizik ve mental yönden büyüme ve gelişmesini engellemektedir. Çocuk ölümlerinin yarısının açlık ve kötü beslenme sonucu oluştuğu kabul edilmektedir.
