Abstract :The papers contained within this volume were initially presented at a Theatre and Drama Network (TDN) conference exploring Adaptation, Appropriation, and Translation, in 2023. The aims of that conference were to explore the complex relationship between adaptations and their original source material, to examine the ethics of adaptation, and to reevaluate the meaning of adaptation within contemporary theatre, film, literature, and media studies.
