Abstract :Media - society relations involve complex events, behaviors and processes. For this reason, it can be examined from different angles and dimensions. This article deals with the media\'s relations with society in the context of politics. The aim of the study is to understand the social dimensions of the media, its effects on society, and the media-related dimensions of society and its effects on the media in terms of their connections with politics. In the study carried out for this purpose, various aspects of the interactive relations of mass media with society within the framework of politics are tried to be understood with the literature review method and by referring to sources related to the subject of the study. While media represents a great power that interacts with the reality of society with many different types, tools, elements, methods and identities, it is within the scope of the most important dimensions of society and social relations in politics. In this sense, as a summary of the results reached in the study, it can be said that, on the one hand, politics affects the media, society and media-society relations, and on the other hand, media, society and media-society relations affect politics. In the processes of mediatization of politics and politicization of the media, the mutual relations between the media and society have a unique situation.
