INDEX OF ACADEMIC DOCUMENTS (IAD) ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA FOR BOOKS
- Books included in the IAD index must adopt an open-access system.
- The IAD does not charge any fees for application or indexing processes.
- All content in the IAD index is publicly accessible. Therefore, books included in the index are considered to have given permission for their metadata, chapters, and full texts to be displayed in the index.
- There are no additional requirements for books indexed in the directories listed below or published on the mentioned platforms. This is because IAD recognizes that the acceptance conditions of these platforms and indexes meet international quality and publishing standards beyond dispute:
- Books indexed by Scopus, WoS, Springer, Taylor & Francis, Wiley, and IGI Global are automatically eligible for inclusion.
- Books published by universities, government institutions, and research institutes.
- Books published by internationally recognized and reputable non-governmental organizations.
- Other books will be evaluated by the IAD editorial board based on their title, author details, publisher information, ISBN, editorial board, scientific board, and policies. Relevant authors and publishers will be informed of the outcome following this process.
- Authors and publishers have the right to appeal decisions made by the IAD editorial board. Appeals will be reviewed and decided upon by the editorial and advisory boards.
- Accepted books must share their metadata and content with the IAD index authorities as specified.
- The IAD reserves the right to remove any book from the index without providing a specific reason.
- Books or publishers listed in internationally recognized predatory book or publisher lists are not accepted into the IAD index. If such books are identified after acceptance, they will be removed from the index without further justification.
