Abstract :Writer Stance in Research Articles: A German-Turkish Comparative Analysis In the course of the last 40 years, various contrastive analysis were made about academic styles. This is a familiar research field to the linguistic scientific community. In this study I investigated the writer's stance in German and Turkish economy articles. The use of self-mention, passive voice and impersonalization were examined to find out if there is a difference of occurance frequency in both corpora. The results are presented in the last section and I try to explain the diffrences in occurance frequency of self-mention, passive voice and impersonalization in both corpora on cultural basis.
