Abstract :The concept of sustainable development was first defined in 1987 by the World Commission on Environment and Development, a sub-organization of the United Nations, in the report entitled Our Common Future, also known as the Brundtland Report. Accordingly, sustainable development is the development that will be realized without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs and expectations. In the 100th anniversary of the Turkish Economic Congress, there is no better tool than the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals to measure the economic performance of our country on the road to contemporary civilization. In this study, on the one hand, the economic picture of the country is taken by comparing the position of the Turkish economy after a century with other states. On the other hand, a road map is presented on which topics progress can be made by making suggestions to policymakers as the Republic passes into its second century.
