Abstract :University students\\\' ability to observe the effectiveness of the products they develop as part of their education beyond the classroom, comprehend the integration between society and the university, and assess the practical applicability of their acquired knowledge in the field. The project was carried with a Special Education and Practice School in Hatay. Fourteen teachers (group 1) and 26 university students (group 2) participated in the project. After the project activity, the participants\\\' opinions were questioned with a survey form containing 10 questions prepared in a five-point Likert type. The students\\\' opinions on technical trips, field applications, being productive in lessons, and the effectiveness of the products in terms of sensory perception and motor were also recorded. In group 1, 57.1% of participants strongly agreed that there is a need for health professionals in special education and practice schools, compared to 82.5% in group 2. While 64.3% of group 1 agreed and 73.1% of group 2 strongly agreed that the products facilitated effective lesson delivery, 42.9% of group 1 and 69.2% of group 2 strongly agreed that the activity positively contributed to the psychosocial development of students receiving special support. Additionally, 96.2% of the students believed that out-of-class education and technical trips should be increased. This study, which is one of the rare studies addressing various concepts such as university-community collaboration in healthcare, out-of-class education, and transdisciplinary education, has demonstrated the need for health professionals in schools. Future studies are recommended to investigate the effectiveness of interdisciplinary health education in special education and practice schools.
