Abstract :The aim of this study is to determine the metaphorical perceptions of the tourism guidance undergraduate program students about the tourist guide. The study was conducted via an online questionnaire consisting of one sentence with two gaps and an example of the same sentence. Phenomenological design and content analysis techniques were used in the evaluation of the data. Metaphors related to education were the most frequently expressed metaphors. Consequently, it has been observed that students possess a certain level of knowledge within the scope of the profession and conceptualise the profession in various ways.
