Abstract :As a result of increasing the international trade volumes and good flows between regions, logisics center concept is emerged as a popular research topic. Logistics centers offer some advantages such as comprehensive and integrated logistics services, location and scale economy. The existing studies have shown that establishing a logistics center have positive impacts on private and public sector. Within the study, historical background, definitions and specialties of the logistics center concept are discussed. In addition to the definitions, previously used decision criteria by researchers for location decision are expressed in a hierarchical structure.
