Abstract :This study investigates the agricultural policy challenges facing the Sahel States Mali, Niger, and Burkina Faso and their implications for food security and regional development. It assesses the contributions of the Alliance of Sahel States to sustainable agriculture and rural development through political, economic, environmental, and social perspectives. Despite the region\\\'s considerable agricultural potential, obstacles such as low productivity, limited technological advancements, inadequate infrastructure, insufficient training, and the impacts of climate change continue to hinder progress. The study underscores the necessity for policies that enhance productivity, promote sustainable practices, and provide support for small-scale farmers. These initiatives are vital for unlocking the region\\\'s agricultural potential and ensuring long-term resilience and food security.
