Abstract :This research examines the relationship between substance use disorder and suicide among individuals with bipolar disorder. Bipolar disorder is a chronic mental health condition characterized by mood fluctuations. Substance use disorders are prevalent in individuals with this disorder, significantly increasing the risk of suicide. The research explores the impact of this comorbidity on suicidal behaviors and emphasizes the importance of treatment and intervention. The findings indicate that the combination of substance use disorder and bipolar disorder increases the frequency of suicide attempts. Developing treatment and prevention strategies is crucial for improving the quality of life for at-risk individuals.
