Abstract :The aim of this research is to compare the attitudes of special athletes athletics coaches towards sports activities of individuals with intellectual disabilities in terms of various variables. A total of 155 coaches with Special Athletes Athletics Coaching certificates, 75 female and 80 male, participated in the research. The participants were reached using the snowball sampling method. \\\"Attitude Scale Towards Sports Activities of Mental Disabled Individuals\\\" was used as the data collection tool. Descriptive statistics were used in the analysis of data, and \\\"Independent Sample t test\\\" and \\\"One Way ANOVA test\\\" were used in comparisons between groups. The research data were collected online. As a result, no statistical difference was determined between the Positive and Negative Attitudes Towards Sports Activities scores and total scores of the participants according to their gender, having a special needs individual in the family, profession and education variables. However, it was determined that the Negative Attitude Towards Sports Activities and total scores of the single participants were statistically significantly higher than the married participants, while the Positive Attitude Towards Sports Activities scores were similar. It was seen that the Positive Attitude Towards Sports Activities and total scores of the participants who had an athlete without intellectual disabilities were statistically higher than the participants who had an athlete with intellectual disabilities, and the Negative Attitude Towards Sports Activities scores were similar. It is thought that increasing the diversity and number of volunteer activities for individuals with intellectual disabilities will be beneficial in increasing positive attitudes towards individuals with intellectual disabilities. Keywords : Özel sporcular, Atletizm, Zihinsel Yetersizlik
