Abstract :The present research aimed to examine the chemical literacy levels of high school students and to analyze these levels in terms of various variables (gender, grade level, academic achievement, and parental education level). The study was conducted using the survey design. The population of the study consisted of high school students studying in the Kulp district of Diyarbakır. The research sample comprised 617 students. The “Chemical Literacy Scale” developed by Meydan (2022) was used as a data collection tool. The Research findings revealed that the students’ chemical literacy was above average. There was no statistically significant difference between the chemical literacy levels of male and female students. However, grade level, chemistry grade point average, and parents’ education level were found to be significant variables affecting students’ chemical literacy levels.
