Loneliness is the state of feeling the lack of social connections and not receiving the physical and emotional support one needs. It is important that cinema addresses this issue with different representations and visuals and conveys the subject to the audience from different perspectives. It offers an important perspective in understanding the inner world of the individual and his/her position in society. In this context, the representation of loneliness and its individual psychological state were evaluated within the framework of a cinematographic narrative. In the study, discourse analysis method was used to examine the relationship between text, discourse and the context in which they were handled. In the study, by using the purposeful sampling method, the film “My Favourite Cake” was selected among many cinema films that deal with loneliness.
