Abstract :The importance of interdisciplinary teaching is emphasized increasingly day by day. It has a great contribution to the effective and meaningful learning. This research aims to define the compatibility between Social Studies and English Language Curriculum for Secondary Education Curriculum in light of the concepts and approaches outlined in the Education Program, from a cross-curricular / interdisciplinary standpoint. The sample of this research is Secondary Schools 5.6.7. Social Studies and English course books used in classrooms. The study is carried out according to qualitative research techniques. Data were collected through document analysis and evaluated through descriptive analysis. The relationship between lessons was provided with the help of questions, written items, or visuals in the course books. Although we encountered examples of social studies related to the interdisciplinary approach in relation to many other courses when the literature was searched, it was seen that the secondary school level Social Studies and English lessons were not examined in an interdisciplinary context.
