Abstract :Objective: The Leonurus genus is one of the 50 essential herbs used in Chinese medicine. This study investigated the volatile components of four Leonurus species collected from different regions of Türkiye and compared their compositions. Material and Method: Four species of the genus Leonurus were collected from different localities. The essential oils were obtained from aerial parts using microdistillation and analyzed by GC-GC/MS. HS-SPME was also applied for volatile profiling. Result and Discussion: The results demonstrated species-specific differences in chemical composition. However, significant amounts of α-pinene were detected in the essential oils of samples from four species. The findings provide the first contribution to the volatile constituents of Leonurus species from Türkiye.
