Abstract :Premature birth is associated with increased infant mortality, short and long-term negative effects on health and additional costs for care. It is a major public health problem worldwide. Because marital status and the health of the mother directly effect the incidence of birth, it is an important area of research. The aim of study was to explore the impact of these factors in premature births in Pleven, Bulgaria.
