Abstract :The chemical investigation of an extract of the aerial parts of Centaurea amanicola afforded several compounds including flavon insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(apigenin);, coumarin insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(scopoletin);, triterpen insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(α-amyrin);, steroid insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(β-sitosterol); and six aromatic compounds insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(vanilic acid, phydroxybenzoic acid, benzyl-β-D-glucoside, 2-phenylethyl-β-D-glucoside, 4\`-fomyl-2\`,6\`-dimethoxy-n-heptanophenone and 4\`-formil-n-heptanophenone);. This is the firstreport on the chemical constituents of Centaurea arnanicola. The structures of the compounds were determined by spectroscopic methods such as UV, IR, \`H and 13C NMR spectroscopy as well as mass spectrometry.
