Abstract :The aim of this study was to develop a Likert-type measurement tool, the validity and reliability studies of which were made, aiming to measure the commitment levels of the parents to the schools where their children were enrolled. In the development of the measurement tool; literature review, item pooling, content validity, and the pilot implementation steps were followed, and then the required reliability calculations were made. In order to test the construct validity of the scale in accordance with the scores obtained from the tool, exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were performed. The research was conducted with the parents of 332 students enrolled in the public schools in the central district of Aydın province. According to the results of the confirmatory factor analysis, the fit indexes of the one-factor structure of the scale were at a good level (RMSEA= .069, NFI= .95, CFI= .97, IFI= .97, RFI= .94, GFI= .90, SRMR= .67). As a result of the factor analysis, it was observed that the scale had a 4-factor structure and that the Cronbach Alpha internal consistency coefficient was .89. As a result of the steps followed, an 18-item parent commitment scale was revealed. Keywords : veli bağlılık ölçeği, veli bağlılığı, veli sadakati
