Abstract :There are differences in the development among the regions in Turkey because of their source, raw material and structure of social life. Efficient sectoral groups in regions have important power to lessen these differences. In this study; basically, regional development classify made by Prime Ministry State Planning Organization using 32 variables was taken as one’s model. According to this classification, forest products industries were investigated by using 25 variables in the 63 settlements in the Eastern Black Sea Region. As a result, it was determined that forest product industry constituted about 25% of Region’s manufacture industry and wasn’t been parallel with region’s development. At the same time, this sector wasn’t been adequate level in the region’s development.
