Abstract :This study is aimed at developing an achievement test on quadrilaterals for seventh-grade students. For this purpose, a test consisting of multiple choice questions was developed by conducting validity and reliability studies. Survey design, one of the quantitative research methods, was used. The sample of the study consisted of 300 seventh-grade students enrolled in a middle school in Melikgazi district of Kayseri, Turkey. Within the scope of validity, item analysis and construct validity analyses were conducted. In addition, exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were conducted for construct validity. As a result of the reliability analysis, the KR-20 reliability coefficient of the scores obtained from the test was calculated as 0.928. The CFA analysis confirmed the one-factor structure determined by the EFA. The average item difficulty index of the scale was found to be 0.51, and the average item discrimination index was found to be 0.64. As a result, a valid and reliable quadrilateral test was obtained. For future studies, this test, which has high discrimination, can be accepted as a criterion test, and items can be prepared for similar purposes. Keywords : dörtgenler, matematik eğitimi, test geliştirme, geçerlik, güvenirlik
