Abstract :Antimony sulfide (Sb2S3) is a highly promising semiconductor for sustainable thin-film solar cells due to its favorable optical and electrical properties. In this study, Sb2S3 thin films were deposited on indium tin oxide (ITO) coated glass substrates using a hydrothermal deposition technique with varying deposition times to investigate the impact of deposition duration on the morphological, optical, and structural properties of the films. The analysis revealed that deposition time is highly effective in modifying the physical properties of Sb2S3 thin films. It was demonstrated that employing the deposition time at 8 hours led to the formation of uniform and highly crystalline Sb2S3 films with (hk1) preferred orientation, suggesting its potential utility in solar cells.
