Preparation and characterization of TAMP/TIMP-Ti and Zr compounds and their catalytic activity over propylene oxide and Ɛ-caprolactone

Abstract :Titanium and zirconium  2-insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(p-tolylamino/p-tolylimino);methyl);phenolate insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(TAMP and TIMP); were prepared by reaction of  Ti- and Zr-alcoholates with 2-insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(p-tolylamino);methyl);phenol insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(TAMPH); and 2-insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(p-tolylimino);methyl);phenol insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(TIMPH); in alcohol. To characterize these compounds, 1 H, 13 C NMR, FTIR, mass spectroscopies, and elemental analysis were used. The TAMP and TIMP metal compounds can be formulated as insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(TAMP); 3 M 2 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(OR);O 2 and insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(TIMP); 4 M 2 O 2 , respectively. The catalytic activity of these compounds was checked in polymerization reactions with propylene oxide insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(PO); and ε-caprolactone insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(ε-CL); and Ti-TAMP was effective . Poly-propylene oxide insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(PPO); and poly-caprolactone insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(PCL); were identified by 1 H, 13 C NMR and gel permeation chromatography insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(GPC);.
