Abstract :Mahmûd al-Kâshgarî could be considered as a Turkish language scientist since he determined the phonetic, morphological, semantic and etymological properties of the words in his immortal work, Dīvān Luγāt at-Turk. The article aimed to examine these nine records that were referred as Uyghur dialect and the twenty records that included the name Uyghur. The manuscripts in different publications of Dīvān Luγāt at-Turk were compared when these examples were scrutinized.
