Abstract :Al 7075 alloy is a material with high mechanical properties and limited plastic formability at room temperature. In some special applications, it may need to be obtained by casting. In this study, it is aimed to increase the strength of the Al 7075 alloy by solidification which has a wide range of applications in sectors such as automotive, aircraft and space defense industry, under mechanical vibration applied at different frequencies after casting. Microstructure examination, compression test and hardness measurement tests are conducted to determine the changes in the mechanical properties of Al 7075 alloy in different frequencies by after solidification under mechanical vibration. Maximum hardness value is obtained at 30 Hz frequency in mechanical vibrations applied at frequencies between 10-50 Hz. This hardness value is lower than the hardness values that can be obtained by precipitation hardening, but considerably higher than the material without heat treatment.
Keywords : Al 7075, Mechanical Vibration, Solidification
