Abstract :Öz Atasözleri, bir toplumun yüzyıllar öncesinden gelen kültürel birikimini yansıtan kısa, öğüt verici ve kalıplaşmış anonim sözlerdir. Sosyoloji, felsefe, tarih, edebiyat gibi birçok bilim dalını ilgilendiren her milletin kullandığı bu sözler, oldukça zengin bir anlatım gücüne sahiptir. Arapça ve Farsçada mesel, Türkçede atasözleri denmekle beraber eskiye doğru gidildiğinde atalar sözü, seyrek olarak da atalar sözleri şeklinde kullanılmıştır. Bu çalışmada, Farsça ve Türkçede aynı anlama gelen birkaç atasözü incelenmiş ve bunların ortaya çıkış hikâyeleri anlatılmıştır. Anahtar Kelimeler: Atasözü, Mesel, Türkçe  ve Farsça Ortak Atasözleri. Abstract Proverbs are the short advice-giving and stereotyped anonym expressions reflecting the cultural heritage from the past period of the society centuries ago. Used by many nations, these words concerning a number of disciplines such as sociology, philosophy, history and literature have a rich narrative power. Though called \`mesel\` in Arabic and Perisan and atasözü in Turkish, at past, proverbs were used as the words of the ancestors. In this study, the proverbs having the same meanings in Persian and Turkish have been studied, and their the origin stories have been told.
