Abstract :Öz Dünya ve ülkemizde çeşitli araştırmalara konu olan masalların araştırılmasında  kullanılan yöntemlerden biri Propp’un Masalların Yapısal Çözümlemesi  yöntemidir. Propp, bu yöntem ile kişi eylemlerini masalın temel  bölümleri olarak kabul etmekte ve her eylemi anlatının akışı içinde bir yere  konumlandırmaktadır. İşlev olarak adlandırılan bu eylemler anlatıyı oluşturan  işlevlerdir ve masalların sürekli var olan öğeleridir. Propp bu yöntemle masalların  temel hareketlerini tespit etmek ve masalın şemasını çıkarmak üzere  genel bir yapıya ulaşmayı hedeflemektedir. Bu çalışmada Propp’un yapısal  çözümleme yöntemi Erzurum halk masallarından olan ‘Ölü Yiyen Derviş’e  uygulanacak ve masalın fonksiyonları tespit edilip temel iskelesi ortaya çıkarılacaktır. Abstract One of the methods used in the research of tales which are subject to  various researches in the world and in our country is Propp’s Structural  Analysis of Tales. Propp, by this method, accepts the actions of people as the  basic parts of the tale and places each action somewhere in the flow of the  narrative. These actions, called functions, are the functions that make up the  narrative, and they are the permanent elements of tales. Propp aims to reach a  general structure in order to determine the basic movements of the fairy tales  and to draw the scheme of the tale. In this study, the structural analysis method  of Propp will be applied to the ’Ölü Yiyen Derviş’ which is one of the Er zurum folk tales, and the functions of the fairy tale will be found, and the  basic scaffold will be revealed.
