Abstract :SUMMARY THE PLACE OF CALCIUM ANTAGONISTS IN THE TREATMENT OF TINNITUS Regarding the effects of calcium antagonists which reduce the vascular resistance and increase the peripheral perfussion rate, we have organized a prospective study in order to determine its place in the treatment of tinnitus. Nifedifin, 3x10 mg/day PO were given to our study group 27 patient for 3 months. As we mentioned above in our discussion, the resilts we obtained, showed that nifedipine hadn`t proved to be significantly superior to other drugs and methods. ÖZET Kalsiyum antagonistlerinin vasküler rezistansı düşüren, dolayı¬sıyla periferik perfüzyonu artıran etkisi göz önüne alınarak, tinnitus tedavisindeki yerini belirlemek amacıyla prospektif bir çalışma düzenlenmiştir. 27 kişilik çalışma grubuna NİFEDİPİN 3x10 mg/gün PO başlanmış, tedaviye 3 ay devam edilmiştir. Tartışmada da vurguladığımız gibi aldığımız sonuçlar, bu ilacın tinnitus tedavisinde kullanılan diğer ilaç ve metodlara belirgin bir üstünlük sağlamadığını göstermektedir.
