Abstract :SUMMARY THE EFFECTS OF SMOKING OM FETUS-PLACENTA DURING PREGNANCY This observation was done on 315 pregnants, 115 of whom smoked during pregnancy and 200 of whom didn`t. It has been found that there is a meaningful statistical difference insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(p < 0.001); between the two groups in the incidance of the birth weight, placental weight and the placenta cofficients. Thus, it has been observed that smoking during pregnancy is still one of the most important health problems and it causes birth of low birth weight babies. . ÖZET Bu çalışma kapsamına 200 tanesi gebeliği sırasında sigara kullanmayan, 1.15 tanesi gebeliği sırasında sigara kullanan toplam 315 gebe alındı. Sigara içen ve içmeyen gruplar ara¬sında yenidoğan ağırlığı, plasenta ağırlığı ve plasenta kat¬sayıları arasında önemli farklılıklar bulundu insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(p < 0.001);. Böylece gebelikte sigaranın önemli bir sağlık problemi olmaya devam ettiği ve düşük doğum ağırlıklı bebek doğurmaya neden olduğu bir kez daha gözlendi
