Abstract :Defection of toxoplasma infections with ELISA in low birth weight infants ✓ The prevalence of congenital toxoplasma Infection is 0.03-0.1 %. However, most of patients insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(75%); are asymtomatic and they can be only recognized in older ages. In this group of pa¬tients, low birth weight my be one of the first findings. We have measured IgG and IgM antitox-oplasma antibodies with ELISA method in asymtomatic 40 low birth weight infants and found the toxoplasma infections in 2.5 % of the babies. ✓ Konjenital toksoplasma enfeksiyonları % 0.03-0.1 sıklıkta görülmektedir. Ancak vakaların büyük bir çoğunluğu insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(%75); asemptomatiktir ve ileri yaşlarda tam alabilmektedir. Bu hasta grubunda düşük doğum ağırlığının ilk bulgularından biri olabileceği bildirilmektedir. Çalışmamızda, toksoplasma enfeksiyonuna özgü semptomları olmayan 40 düşük ağırlıklı yenidoğanda toksoplasma IgG ve IgM antikorları, ELISA yöntemi ile araştırılmış ve bebeklerin % 2.5`unda toksoplasmosis saptanmıştır.
