Abstract :The diagnosis of left atrial appendage thrombus in a patient with mitral stenosis by transthoracic 2-dimensional echocardiography ✓ A huge left atrial appendage thrombus filled 2/3 of left atrium was diagnosed by 2-Dimensional echocardiography in a 61 year-old woman with mitral stenosis. The diagnosis was confirmed with surgery and pathologic examination of the mass which was extracted from the left atrium with difficulty. Additionally literature findings related with the subject were reviewed. Mitral restenoz tanısı konan atrial fibrilasyonlu 61 yaşında bayan hastada 2-B ekokardiyografi ile sol atriumun yaklaşık 2/3`sini dolduran dev bir trombüs tespit edilmiş ve hasta operasyona verilerek tanı doğrulanmıştır. Ayrıca konu ile ilgili literatür bulguları da gözden geçirilmiştir.
