Abstract :Maternal Serum Screening For Prenatal Diagnosis of Some Fetal Genetic Disorders Based on elevated MSAFP levels, 85% to 90% of NTDs can be detected. Using a combination of the three parameters, MSAFP, hCG and UE3, 55% to 60% of fetal Down`s syndrome can be detected. Future strategies for Down`s syndrome screening may include the use of new markers such as dimeric inhibin-A and urinary /5-core fragment of hCG, as well as first-trimester screening, particularly with PAPP-A and free /3-hCG. MSAFP düzeylerindeki arüşa bağlı olarak NTD`lerinin %85-90`ı tespit edilebilir. MSAFP, hCG ve uE3 serum parametreleri kombine edildiğinde de fetal Down sendromlannın %55-60`ı tespit edilebilir. Down sendrom taramasında gelecekte kullanılabilecek yeni markırlar dimeric inhibin-A ve hCG`nin idrar p-core fragment`ı ve ilk trimestrda özellikle free fi-hCG ve PAPP-A`dır.
