Abstract :Osteoid Osteoma: The Results of the Treatment with En Bloc Resection Osteoid osteoma is a benign bone tumor characterized by the formation of a nidus of vascular osteoid tissue surrounded by a margin of dense sclerotic reactive bone. The diagnosis of the osteoid osteoma is made on the basis of findings in the clinical history and results at plain radiography, computerized tomography insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(CT); and bone scintigraphy. The treatment of osteoid osteoma remains contraversial. Most of the surgeons prefer en bloc resection for treatment. Recently, CT guided percutaneous treatment of osteoid osteoma has been reported. In seventeen patients diagnosed on the basis of clinical and radiological findings, treatment was done by en bloc resection. The lesion was observed in every case, by intraoperative radiographs of the surgical field and of the resected specimen. Follow-up ranged from 6 to 72 months insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(mean 23.8 months);. All patients were syptom free, immediately after the operation and wiui no evidence of recurrence at the latest follow-ups. Osteoid osteoma etrafı dens, sklerotik reaktif bir kemik dokusu ile çevrelenmiş, vasküler osteoid doku ve nidus formasyonuyla karakterize bir benign kemik tümörüdür. Osteoid osteomanın teşhisi klinik öykü, direkt grafi, bilgisayarlı tomografi insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(BT); ve sintigrafiye dayanılarak yapılır. Osteoid osteomanın tedavisi tartışmalıdır. Cerrahların büyük çoğunluğu en blok rezeksiyonu tercih ederler. Son yıllarda BT kılavuzluğunda perkütan tedaviler bildirilmiştir. Biz klinik ve radyolojik bulgulara dayanılarak teşhis edilen 17 olguyu en blok rezeksiyonla tedavi ettik. Cerrahi sırasında kontrol grafiler ile cerrahi sahada ve eksize edilen spesmende, çıkarıldığından emin olmak için lezyonu gözlemledik. Olguların ortalama takip süresi 23.8insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(6-72); ay idi. Bütün olgularda cerrahiden hemen sonra semptomlar kayboldu ve takip sürelerinin sonunda nüks gözlenmedi.
