Abstract :A Retrospective Evaluation of the Patients Who Admitted to Ondokuz Mayıs University Emergency Department The Emergency Deparment of the Ondokuz Mayis University Medical Faculty in Samsun was established in 1997 as an academic department with teaching staff members, specialists and resident asistants including auxiliary personnel. The department recieves emergency cases from a large interlancl covering the whole area of Middle Black Sea Region. The purpose of the present study was to evaluate statistically some of the parameters of patients admitted for several reasons to the Emergency Department in recent months. In this study 4387 patients who were admitted to Ondokuzmayis University Emergency Department between 1 July 1999 to 31 January 2000 were analyzed. The mode and the time of the admission to emergency department insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(ED);, the diagnosis and management in ED, observation in ED, hospitalization rates to different clinics, mortality rates in ED and causalities were discussed. 2379 of the patients were male insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(54.2%);, 2008 were female insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(45,8%);. The ratio of female/male was 1.18. The number of the patients under 50 old years was 2435 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(55,5%);, over 50 years old was 1952 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(44,5%);. 2275 patients were diagnosed and treated in ED insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(51,8%);. 385 patients observed in ED service and the other 1687 patients were hospitalized either in a surgical or an internal clinic. The number of the patients who died in ED was 40 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(0,9%);. Çalışmamızda 1997 yılında İlk ve Acil Yardım Anabillm Dalı olarak kurulan ve kendi öğretim elemanları ve asistanları ile Orta Karadeniz Bölgesi hastalarına hizmet veren acil servisimizin, son aylarda gelen hastalarla ilgili dosya bilgileri incelenmiş ve bu konuda istatistiksel veriler sağlanması amaçlanmıştır. Bu çalışmada 01 Temmuz 1999-31 Ocak 2000 tarihleri arasında Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Acil Polikliniğine başvurmuş 4387 hastanın acile geliş şekilleri, acile ulaşma zamanları, acil poliklinikte teşhis ve tedavi edilmeleri, izleme alınmaları veya cerrahi ya da dahili bir kliniğe yatırılmaları ve eksitus oranları ve sebepleri sunulmuştur. Hastaların 2379 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(%54.2);`u erkek ve 2008 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(%45.8);`i kadın olup kadın/erkek oranı 1.18 idi. Yaşlan 50`nin altında olan hastaların sayısı 2435 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(%55.5); iken 50`nin üzerinde olan hastaların sayısı 1952 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(%44.5); idi. Hastalardan 2275 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(%51.8);1 acil serviste teşhis ve tedavi edilirken 385 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(%8.8);`i acil gözlemde izlenmiş ve 1687 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(%38.4);`i bir cerrahi veya dahili kliniğe yatırılmıştır. Acil servisimizde 40 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(%0.9); olgu eksitus oklu.
