Abstract :Trizomi 18, 1000 canlı doğumda 0,3 oranında görülme şıklığıyla trizomi 21`den sonra en sık rastlanan kromozom anomalisidir. ileri anne yaşı en önemli risk faktörü olmakla birlikte daha genç anne adaylarında da görülebilmektedir. Ciddi psikomotor ve birçok sistemi ilgilendiren konjenital anomaliler içerdiğinden, düşük riskli populasyonda ultrasonografik bulgular saptandığında akla gelebilecek tanılar arasında yer almalıdır. Trisomy 18: Case Report Trisomy 18, being the second most common chromosomal anomaly after trisomy 21, has the incidence of 0.03 % among liveborn children . However the advanced maternal age is the most important risk factor , the disorder may be also observed in the younger mothers. Since the condition is characterized by severe psychomotor and many somatic congenital malformations, the diagnosis should be considered when the associated findings are observed during the routine ultrasonographic examination in the low risk population.
