Abstract :Basket impaction is a rare complication of Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatographyinsert ignore into journalissuearticles values(ERCP);. This complication is usually treated non-operatively. Surgery is required when non-operative methods are failed. In this study, we retrospectively evaluated the results of patients who underwent surgery for basket impaction.Five patients who underwent surgery with the diagnosis of basket impaction between January 2017 and December 2021 were included in the study.. The median mean age was 50insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(21-82); years. Basket impaction developed in the common bile duct in 3 patients and in the pancreatic duct in 2 patients. Post-operative wound infection developed in 1 patient and evisceration in 1 patient. The length of stay was 10 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(7-12); days. Overall morbidity rate was 33.3% . There was no post-operative mortality.
