Abstract :The aim of this study is to study mutually the depression levels of permanent teachers and temporary teachers at schools in terms of different variables. In the study which is in descriptive and relational scanning model based on quantitative data Beck Depression Inventory which was developed by Beck insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(1961); and adapted to Turkish by Hisliinsert ignore into journalissuearticles values(1988); has been used  in order to determine the depression level of the tested. Moreover, in the collection of demographic data Personal Information Form developed by researchers was used. The research is done with a workgroup including 370 people. The data are evaluated within descriptive and relational statistics. At the end of the research, it has been observed that teachers have medium depression and this depression has been affected by variables such as sex, charge, the pleasure of teaching job,  the pleasure of the place they live, age, whether classes are crowded or not, cigarette, and alcohol. For all that, within the research, it has been established that the depression level of teachers who joined the research has not been affected by variables such as teacher`s branch, marital statues and if s/he is married, whether his/ her partner work or not.
