The Characteristics of Agricultural Machinery Manufacturing Industries in Konya

Abstract :In this study, agriculture machine production industry characteristics were determined in Konya province. For this purpose, face-to-face survey was conducted in the region with 93 companies. As a result of research, when the companies are evaluated according to size, companies of the region have occurred from micro-sized about 36%, 53% of small-scale and 11% of medium-sized. When all companies are considered, total 2258 staff are employed in these enterprises and 5 staff in micro-sized companies, 23 staff in small-sized business group and also 96 staff in medium-sized business group were determined in per enterprise. The numbers of employed engineers in per enterprise were determined as 0.06, 0.49 and 3 in micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, respectively. While in 93.55% ratio of the businesses have got web page, it was determined to was not in 6.45% of the businesses. There was no spare part production in 29% of the companies. Grower applications were taken into consideration by manufacturers in 91.40% ratio and the companies in 75% have not got research and development unit. In addition, while the companies about 34% were not joined national fairs, this ratio was reached to 75% for international fairs.
