Abstract :This study was conducted to determine the salinity and alkalinity levels of irrigation water resources and agricultural lands in Konya-Karatay-Çengilti Town. On the map of research, samples points were selected at certain places on the main drainage canal of Konya. In these places, disturbed soil samples were taken from 0-30 cm, 30-60 cm and 60-90 cm by use of auger. Undisturbed soil samples were taken through the 1.5m soil depth from 1,5 m distance from both sides of canal. Water samples used for irrigation of selected agricultural lands were taken from twice insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(summer and fall seasons); from groundwater resources and main drainage canal. Soil and water samples were analyzed in laboratory. The results showed that research soils are clay textured with %45,91-71,74 lime content. Field Capacity insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(FC); and Wilting Point insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(WP); and pH values were %24,8-37,4, %13,6-23,2 and 7,17-8,60 respectively. EC, Cation Exchange Capacity insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(CEP);, organic matter, boron content and Exchangeable Sodium Percentage insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(ESP); were determined as 1137-13314 µmhos/cm, 9,37-15,84 me/100g, %0,27-2,47, 0-9,1 ppm and %1,64-48,58 respectively. In examine the water samples of summer season, pH and electrical conductivity were 7,02-8,30 and 1620-9741 µmhos/cm, respectively. In some samples, residual bicarbonate, RSC was determined. Boron content was 0,1-2 ppm. The %41,7 of water samples were classified as T3S1; %4,2 of T3S2, %20,8 of T4S1 and %33,3 of T4S2 irrigation water. In examine the water samples of fall season, pH and electrical conductivity were 6,91-7,76 and 1610-9157 µmhos/cm, respectively. None RSC was de-termined in all water samples. Boron content was 0,3-1,9 ppm. The %47,4 of water samples were classified as T3S1; %26,3 of T4S1 and %26,3 of T4S2 irrigation water. The 47.4%, 26.3%, and 26.3% of total samples were T3S1, T4S1 and T4S2 irrigation water class, respectively, and these aren’t suitable for irrigation according to the salinity. In examine the alkaliny hazards; they could be used in irrigation with good care.
