Abstract :ÖZET Cumhuriyet dönemi yazarlarından Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar'ın, diğer eserlerinde oldugu gibi hikayelerinde de zaman, mekan ve eşyayı; gerçekle gerçek dışını iç içe algıladığı görülür. Tanpınar, hikayelerindeki vakaları,kahramanlarının gerçek ve yarattıgı ikinci kişilikleri arasınçiaki çatıma üzerine kurar. Bu hikayeler böylece gerçekle hayalin, gerçekle gerçeklik kazandırılmış gerçek dışının birer manzumesidir. ABSTRACT Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar, who is a Turkish author of the period of Turkish Republic, often realizes the leality and unreality, the time, place, and object altogether in his stories, just as he does in his other works. Tanpınar bases his stories on his characters real personalities and their virtual personalities, in other words, their double personalitics, this way, those stories are the compositions of the reality and imagination, of the reality and the unreality which are virtually visualized.
