Abstract :Bu çalışmada Belh coğrafya ekolünün ilk ismi olan İstahrî’nin coğrafî metodolojisi tespite çalışılacak, aynı zamanda bu metodoloji, Irak’ta ortaya çıkan tasvirî coğrafya ekolünün iki ünlü ismi Ya’kubî ve İbn Hurdazbih’in metodolojileri ile karşılaştırılacaktır. Çalışma esnasında ortaya çıkacak tespitler, yazarların eserlerindeki bilgilerle karşılaştırılacaktır.
