Abstract :ÖZ Akrep, mitolojilerde, efsanelerde, masallarda, halk hikâyelerinde, kabartma ve motiflerde görülen bir semboldür. Türk şiir geleneğinde akrep, hem astrolojik bir unsur, hem de bir canlı olarak zikredilmiş, etrafında çeşitli çağrışımlar oluşturulmuştur. Bu makalede, modern Türk şiirinin önemli temsilcilerinden Sezai Karakoç’un şiirlerinde, kültürel bir öğe olarak öne çıkan akrep sembolü üzerinde durulmuştur. Anahtar Sözcükler: Sezai Karakoç, şiir, akrep, kültürel öğe.   ABSTRACT Scorpion is a symbol that can be seen in the mythology, myths, tales, folk stories, reliefs, and motifs. In the tradition of Turkish poetry, scorpion has been mentioned both an astrologic element (scorpio) and as a living body, having a variety of implications around it. In this article we tried to study the symbol of scorpion, which appears as a cultural element in the poems of Sezai Karakoç, one of the major figures of the modern Turkish poetry.
