Abstract :ÖZ Bu makalede pervâne ile şem‘ kelimelerinin anlamları, Şem‘ ü Pervâne’nin kaynağı, manzum ve mensur eserler ile divanlarda yer alan Şem‘ ü Pervâne sembol ve şiirleri ele alınmıştır. Ayrıca bağımsız bir eser olarak Farsça ve Türkçe yazılan Şem‘ ü Pervâne mesnevileri hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Anahtar Kelimeler: Şem‘ ü Pervâne, ateş, sembol, tasavvuf, aşk   ABSTRACT This article deals with the meanings of Pervane (Moth) and Şem (Can-dle), their sources and symbols, and poems of Şem ü Pervane (Candle and Moth) found in the verse and prose works and Divans (a collection of poems written by one author). To this end, additional information about Şem ü Per-vane mesnevis (poms made up of rhymed couplets) written independently both in Persian and Turkish is also provided.
