Abstract :The aim of this study was to determine the spiritual well-being levels of older adults with chronic diseases and the factors affecting their sense of well-being. The population of the study consisted of 156 older adults living in a nursing home in Turkey. The Older Adults Information Form, the Care Dependency Scale and the Spiritual Well-Being Scale were used to collect the data, while the independent samples t test and correlation tests were employed to analyze the data. The older adults’ mean score for the Care Dependency Scale was 4.67±0.68, while their mean score for the Spiritual Well-Being Scale was 116.74±14.24. There was no statistically significant difference in the scores for the Care Dependency Scale and the total Spiritual Well-Being Scale according to age group, but a significant difference was found in the anomie subdimension. Overall, the spiritual well-being levels of the older adults with chronic disease were found to be good.
