Energy efficiency of small waste water treatment plants in the Baltic Sea region – a comparative case study

Abstract :Presented study will compare energy efficiency indexes [1] for three exemplary waste water treatment plants insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(WWTP); in the Baltic Sea region. Exemplary WWTPs include Goleniów Water Treatment Plant insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Location 1 - Poland);, Rőnne - Bornholm insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Location 3 - Denmark); and Hőőr insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Location 2 – Sweden, WWTP of Lyby and Ormanäs);. Their geographical position is presented in Fig. 1. Time evolution of energy efficiency indexes and the influence of renewable energy sources on energy efficiency indexes will be analysed.
