The Mediating Role of Job Crafting and the Moderating Role of Change Fatigue in the Relationship between Occupational Motivation and Individual Creativity of Healthcare Workers

Abstract :This study was designed to determine the mediating role of job crafting and the moderating role of change fatigue in the indirect relationship between occupational motivation and individual creativity levels of healthcare workers. The population of the study consists of employees of a training and research hospital located in a medium-sized province in Turkey. Participants in the survey were selected using the simple random sampling method. The data consists of a survey conducted by 426 people. The findings showed that job crafting has a mediating role in the indirect effect of the occupational motivation levels of health workers on their individual creativity. It was also found that change fatigue has a moderating role in the indirect effect of occupational motivation on individual creativity through job crafting. This study reveals that job resourcefulness plays a critical mediating role in increasing the individual creativity of healthcare workers\\\' professional motivation but change fatigue may negatively affect this process and reduce creativity and motivation.
