Abstract :During the course of prchistoric researehes which I made in the Hatay province in May and June, 195B, on behalf of the Turkish Historical Society, I colleeted ncw Palaeolithic tools at Altındcrc insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Avratlar deresi); - and madc a test cxcavation in a cavc ncar the villagc of Mağracık in Samandağ. During the course of this fıeld work Dr. Oğuz Erol, Doçent of Physical Geography and Geology in the University of Ankara, accompanied me for awhile and worked on the geology of this region.During the course of this trip I madc a test cxcavation in a new cave which stands about 83 meters abovc the present-day sca level.
