Abstract :В статье описывается состояние гласных `у` в языке небольшой группы калмыков, проживающих в Сибири. Для этого использовался экспериментально-фонетический метод. Также будут рассмотрены сходства и различия в произношении тюркских слов с корнями в калмыцком языке и языках тюркских народов Сибири.
